29.09-01.10.2026 SAHK attended the FIS (International Ski Federation) Technical Committee Meetings 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, between the 29th September to 1st October 2026. Winter sport NSA’s from all over the world, and across all disciplines attended this conference to discuss and debate various topics in preparation for the upcoming 2026/27 season, and next Winter Olympic cycle. Chairman Mr Edmond Yue represented Hong Kong, China at the conference with members of the SAHK team. The conference began with the FIS Summit which provided opportunities for the new FIS leadership, who were elected at the Congress in June, to share their plans and priorities moving forward.
Most notably, SAHK attended an Asian Ski Federation gathering where national ski associations from all over Asia met to discuss new developments and upcoming goals specifically catered to promoting and providing more opportunities in this region. Nations such as China, Thailand, Korea, Mongolia, DPRK and others were also in attendance. SAHK used this opportunity to highlight Hong Kong’s commitment to advancing snowsports in Asia, having hosted 3 consecutive years of Asian Alpine Championships, more than any other nation since 2020. Neighbouring nations expressed their support and excitement for Hong Kong’s continued efforts. An election took place, where new leadership was elected into stewarding ASF’s direction in the upcoming term, with China securing a VP position. SAHK congratulates the new committee and wishes them the best of luck.
