SAHK attends FIS Technical Committee Meetings in Zurich, Switzerland

23-26.09.2025 SAHK attended the FIS (International Ski Federation) Technical Committee Meetings 2025 in Zurich, Switzerland, between the 23rd - 26th September 2025. Winter sport NSA’s from all over the world, and across all disciplines attended this conference to discuss and debate various topics in preparation for the upcoming 2025/26 season. Secretary General Mr Samson Siu, and Deputy Miss Natasha Siu represented the association at various meetings ranging from an international summit, masters race organisation, event media operations, corporate communications and many more.

Most notably, SAHK attended an Asian Ski Federation gathering where national ski associations from all over Asia met to discuss new developments and upcoming goals specifically catered to promoting and providing more opportunities in this region. Nations such as China, Uzbekistan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal and others were also in attendance. SAHK also used this opportunity to present the recent collaborations between HKG and FIS, as well as the partnership with Bonski, and further explained plans for an indoor asian alpine event to be held spring 2026. Neighbouring nations expressed support and excitement for this new development, placing Hong Kong at the epicenter of further developments for alpine skiing, specifically in Asia. FIS President Mr. Johan Eliasch attended the meeting near the end and expressed gratitude for the hard work of Asian ski nations, as well as, describing Asia as the future of skiing.
