Congratulations to our athletes Adrian YUNG, Aerin KING, Eloise KING, Isa KAO, Kin Pok LU, Lucas WONG and Samantha ZHONG for giving their best effort at the Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games, held at Yabuli Ski Resort, Harbin. Special congratulations to Adrian YUNG on his Top 10 finish in the Men’s Slalom competition on the 9th of February 2025. SAHK Chairman Edmond Yue was also in attendance to support this important Asian ski event and SAHK is proud of all of our athletes for their continued effort and determination towards the sport of skiing, and we look forward to seeing greater progress in the near future. Athlete WU Hao Yang unfortunately sustained an injury days before the competition. We wish him the best of luck in recovery, and hope to see him back on the slopes very soon.
Ski Association of Hong Kong, China Chairman Mr Edmond Yue seized the opportunities presented by the stellar attendance to this prestigious world-class event. As seen in the image below, Chairman Mr Edmond Yue began his trip to Harbin by meeting Mr John Lee Ka-Chiu, the current Chief Executive of Hong Kong, China. This meeting was followed up by discussions with representatives of the International Ski Federation (FIS), most notably with FIS President Mr. Johan Eliasch and FIS Director for Development Programme Mr. Dimitrije Lazarovski. Productive dialogue was had with the above-mentioned influential members of the international ski community, regarding the future development of winter sports in Hong Kong and Asia as a whole. Further meetings included exchanges with Miss Rosanna Law Shuk-Pui JP, the current Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hong Kong, China. SAHK Chairman Mr Edmond Yue then attended the Opening Ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games. At this ceremony, Chairman Mr Edmond Yue had the honor of watching President Xi Jinping declare the opening of the 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games LIVE in the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Sports Center.
